Student Chapters

Two of the most important optical societies in the world are OSA (The Optical Society of America) and SPIE (The International Society for Optics and Photonics). These associations, in various academic institutions throughout the world, have student chapters dedicated to promote student activities that help the dissemination of optics in their communities.

CIO has student chapters of both OSA and SPIE, which throughout the year drive activities such as spreading the chapter, promoting the Center ́s graduate programs, Astronomy clubs, workshops for high school and college level students, Visiting Lecturer, support various conferences; and integration and recreational activities among chapter members.
