  • Optical Surfaces Laboratory

Description:

Develop experimental optical sensing arrangements for using metal thin films by thermal and/or electron gun evaporation, developing programs in Mathcad and Matlab for simulation and determination of parameters for curve fitting and LabVIEW for motor control, acquisition, transfer and data analysis.

Techniques:

Surface plasmon resonance (localized and no localized) with semicylindrical prism coupling systems in the Krechtmann configuration for optical characterization of materials of solid, liquid and gaseous in steady state and flow.

Equipment:

Holographic table, He-Ne laser, power supply
Location: Building H, door 936, lab. 937
