In the photovoltaic systems laboratory, scientific research and technological development are carried out
on topics such as high precision solar tracking systems, solar sensors, solar concentration systems,
control systems, among others. The projects of this laboratory are aimed at increasing the efficiency
of converting solar energy into electrical and/or thermal energy at a low cost. Likewise, training courses
on photovoltaic systems are offered in the EC0586.01 standard. Installation of photovoltaic systems in
residence, commerce and industry. There are specialized equipment for the electrical characterization
of photovoltaic systems.
The Photovoltaic Systems Laboratory is in charge of Dr. Arturo Díaz Ponce in collaboration with
the Grupo de Investigación e Ingeniería en Energía Solar and is located in the Laboratorio de
Innovación y Caracterización de Sistemas Termosolares y Fotovoltaicos, at the CIO-Unidad Aguascalientes.
