Description: Current inspection techniques of photovoltaic panels involve the intervention of a trained human, which by nature, after executing the same task for a long period of time starts to make mistakes and/or exclude relevant events. In this project, an autonomous system capable of detecting faliures on PV panels based on the analysis of thermal images is proposed. The images are acquired by a thermal camera mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
