Personal information:

Vicente Aboites is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, U.K. carried out studies of physics at the Metropolitan University in Mexico City and of Philosophy at Birkbeck College, University of London.

He carried out his doctoral work at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire, and presented his thesis at the University of Essex in England. He did specialization studies in electronics and control at the University of Paris VI and a post-doctoral in optoelectronics and lasers at the University of Berlin.

He was a visiting fellow Maria Curie from the European Community as a researcher at the Imperial College of London. In 1986 founded the Lasers Laboratory at the Center for Research in Optics in Mexico from which he is Head and researcher.

Prof. Aboites has been visiting researcher at the Group of Dynamic Systems of the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) among other institutions. He has published 20 books and around 200 international research papers.

Research interests:

Lasers, System Dynamics, Optoelectronics and Philosophy of Science.
