Received his BS degree in electronics engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, León. He obtained his master degree of sciences from Centro de Investigaciones en Optica. In 1996, he obtained his doctoral degree of sciences from Centro de Investigaciones en Optica. He is been a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) since 1996.
