Donato Luna Moreno realizó sus estudios de Licenciatura en Física en la Universidad de Guadalajara. El grado de Maestría en Ciencias Ópticas (Tecnología óptica) en el Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica, A.C. y el grado de Doctorado en el Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica.
Líneas de Investigación:
- Instrumentación óptica para caracterización de películas delgadas utilizando técnicas de medición de ángulo de Brewster y resonancia de plasmones de superficie.
- Sensores ópticos utilizando películas delgadas depositadas por evaporación térmica en cámara de vacío.
