Ismael Torres Gómez, graduated as electrical engineer in the Faculty of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics (FIMEE Salamanca, Gto.) from the University of Guanajuato. He received the degree of Ph.D. (Optics) at Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica AC in León Gto. He continued his research career in the manufacturing of silica photonic crystal fibers, as a postdoctoral at the Polytechnic Institute & State University, Blacksburg VA, United States. Ismael Torres Gómez had experience in the industry as electrical engineer, as a teacher in optics in the academic area and as a research in the fibers optics technology. Currently serves as senior researcher B in the Photonics Division of Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica AC.
