Summary:

In this facility, biological samples can be conserved and manipulated to generate samples, for the confocal and multiphoton microscope and for all the other research projects that deal with biophotonics. The lab is open to all the researchers of CIO and their collaborators.

Techniques:

  • Serial sectioning of tissues.
  • Cell culture.
  • Cell and tissue staining.

Equipment:

  • Fridges and freezers (including -20C, -80C and liquid nitrogen)
  • Tissue culture Hood, incubator, centrifuges, and small devices for the periodical passaging of cell lines.
  • Instruments for serial sectioning (vibratome, microtome and criostat)
  • Tools and equipment for staining
